Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as full of aggression and hatred and not far from barbarism, despite its claim to be civilized.
Zakharova said in an interview with the Belarusian agency BELTA: “There is no solidarity and congruence of views among NATO members, and this is not just a difference in seeing development prospects, but allegations against some of them that amount to hatred”.
She added “NATO is a union of like-minded and convergent parties only because they have a common interest, ideology and approaches on major issues and at the same time differ with the rest of the world.”
Zakharova ridiculed NATO’s claims of urbanization, saying: “Today we see how these highly urbanized institutions are in fact not far from being barbaric and their members adopt a culture of abolition, aggression and all kinds of phobias that can be invented.”
Zakharova stressed that the program to involve Finland and Sweden in the NATO framework passes through other integration structures, intimidation mechanisms, threats and sanctions.
