With the participation of Syria, the Conference of Arab Ministers of Education continues its work in Morocco

The 13th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education continued its work today، Tuesday the 30th of May، 2023, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, under the title “The Future of Education in the Arab World in the Era of Digital Transformation”.
 The Conference, which was launched on Monday, is hosted by the Moroccan Ministry of Education and Sports.
The Arab countries’ participating experts discussed the recommendations of the conference and the draft papers submitted, in preparation for presenting them tomorrow, Wednesday during the ministerial meeting. The recommendations focuses on providing modern statistical data on the education sector to the Arab League Organization for Education, Culture and Science “the ALECSO Observatory”, and benefiting from the expertise of the Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in ensuring the quality of this data, employing and governaning artificial intelligence applications to support the teaching and learning process and using school theater in developing the educational process and its transformations in cooperation with ALECSO and the Arab Theater Authority.
Participants in the sessions, which were attended for the Syrian side by Director of Informatics at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Yasser Nouh, stressed the need to monitor the successful experiences and best practices of the continuous professional development program for teachers in the field of digital transformation and to circulate them in Arab countries so as to activate the decision of the Arab League Council related to organizing the activities of  the Arabic Language month.
The participants, who welcomed Syria’s return to joint Arab action, stressed the importance of establishing a joint Arab digital platform for open educational resources, and coordinating with the Regional Center for Quality and Excellence for Education in order to complete the implementation of the original model project and present its outputs to the work of the 14th session which will monitor the progress of the Arab countries in achieving the digital transformation goals.
Minister of Education Darem Tabbaa will deliver Syria’s speech tomorrow during the meeting of the Arab education ministers.
