Head of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce Abu Al-Huda Al-Laham and the First Secretary for Commercial affairs at the Indian Embassy in Damascus Vijay Vimal Pandey on Tuesday discussed prospects of enhancing trade cooperation between Syria and India for the benefit of both sides.
According to what was published on the federation’s Facebook page, the two sides discussed mechanism of expanding joint economic relations between the two countries .
The two sides agreed on holding an expanded meeting as soon as possible to discuss fields of cooperation in the commercial field between Syria and India, noting the importance of identifying the opportunities that exist in the two countries, exchanging visits between businessmen, and encouraging the holding of joint exhibitions and carrying out projects that benefit the two friendly peoples.
Another meeting between the Head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Abu Al-Huda al-Laham, and the Cuban Ambassador in Damascus Luis Mariano Fernandez Rodrigues also focused on means of boosting trade relations between Syria and Cuba.
The two sides are ready to exert every effort to consolidate economic relations by stimulating trade exchange in a way that achieves common interests, noting the friendly relations between the two countries are strong and historical.
They stressed their great wish to benefit from all available capabilities, despite the economic conditions and challenges they face, to continue searching for trade opportunities between the two countries and develop appropriate plans and strategies.
