On the occasion of the seventy-sixth anniversary of the Independence Day, the Revolutionary Youth Union, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, organized a carnival festival entitled (The Document of a Homeland) on April 17th.
Crowds of young people, scouts, ceremonial and folklore teams participated, from Arnous Square, passing through the Sabaa Bahrat roundabout to Damascus Governorate roundabout, where folk art teams presented patriotic and artistic paintings that expressed the memory of the evacuation and performances by the Central Band of the Revolutionary Youth Union and the Quneitra and Damascus Art Bands.
The masses of the youth presented a (national document) to President Bashar al-Assad, in which they affirmed that the youth of Syria will always be up to the responsibility imposed by challenges.
Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa affirmed that the masses of youth gathered today indicate that Syria is fine with those who represent the country.
Minister Tabbaa said that Syria has always been victorious in its youth, strength and land, and today this celebration will be followed by great celebrations after achieving complete victory over terrorism.
The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi, indicated that the Syrian people celebrate this anniversary every year with pride.
Al-Olabi indicated that this anniversary is becoming more and more important today as our people and our valiant army continue the path of struggle to liberate what remains of our land from the defilement of terrorism.
The head of the Revolutionary Youth Union, Sumer Zahir, indicated that the youth of Syria came out with this carnival festival to say their word that they are able to carry the message faithfully from their fathers who achieved independence in the past and were able to defeat the French so that they, today, can complete it and achieve victory over terrorism and defeat it from their land.
A number of carnival participants indicated that their participation in this carnival came as an affirmation that the Syrian people will remain embodying the values of evacuation by strengthening their national unity.
Alaa Ali said: “Today, Syrian youth of all ages and groups participate in the carnival to express their joy and love on the occasion of evacuation.”
In turn, Noureddine Al-Watar stated that his participation in the carnival came to confirm that the message of the Syrian youth is eternal and affirms the necessity of their presence on the ground and participating in achieving victory.
Sirin Al-Shamali pointed to the importance of holding events and activities that enhance the meanings of evacuation and preserve its memory.
Shahd Yusef pointed out that her message is a greeting of loyalty and love to the souls of the martyrs of evacuation.
