Wadi Qandil Hosts the 2nd Tourist Festival on the 28th of July

Syria is fine….It is still the cradle of civilization, culture and arts. They could not defeat our determination and kill the will of life in us….We still believe that the future will be better, ” Chairman of the festival, eng. Ayoub Mliky told the Syria Times. Talking about the idea of holding such an event, eng. Mliky said: “Wadi Qandil festival is one of the most important events that our group has been holding for the last four years.

Our response was very clear that by holding such an event we are trying to convey a message to the whole world that there is another side for the crisis in Syria . Not only killing and destruction what actually exist in Syria but there are also people who are mixed with the will of life and believe that there is still something worth living for.

Mr. Mliky went on to say: “for this year, the festival is being held with a governmental and ministerial support. The state has provided all the supplies we need especially that Wadi Qandil is a random and unplanned areas.

So through this event we are trying to revive the region as we do our best to give the perfect status of the northern Syria”.

“About 2000 visitors from all the Syrian governorates will attend and participate in the various activities of the festival confirming that the Syrian northern areas aren’t as some claim that they are occupied areas that suffer the ravages of war. On the contrary they’re beautiful tourist areas that attract a large number of visitors from all parts of Syria”. He added.

“I would like to stress that, as an organizing group with a cadre working in seven Syrian governorates, we are working throughout the year according to an organized and systematic plan for the development of tourism in Syria in general and in the Syrian coast in particular “.

We hope that this festival will be a success and will continue for the forthcoming years and to prove its existence as one of the most important events in Syria “.Mr. Mliky concluded.
