Voters in Parliamentary elections: Syria is capable of implementing its constitutional entitlements despite challenges
Damascus (ST)- The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections Judge Jihad Murad affirmed during his inspection of a number of electoral centers in Damascus and its countryside that the electoral process proceeded in accordance with the provisions of the General Elections Law, and that no violations were observed therein.
Voters from different Syrian goveronrate affirmed that voting is a right and a national duty.
Citizens in Aleppo Governorate flocked to the polling stations to vote and choose their representatives in the People’s Assembly who are able to convey their voices and demands, and contribute to improving living conditions.
Voters in Lattakia considered that participating in these elections is the duty of every citizen to ensure the arrival of the appropriate candidate who represents their interests in the People’s Assembly.
The Governor of Raqqa Abdul Razzaq Khalifa stressed that the governorate is following up with the Judicial Electoral Subcommittee on the conduct of the elections to meet the needs of citizens, and to answer any inquiries related to the elections.
In turn, Idlib Governor, Thaer Salhab, indicated that the citizens’ participation in the elections is a message that Syria is recovering from terrorism at an accelerated pace and that, despite the challenges and difficulties it faces, it is capable of implementing its constitutional entitlements on time.
