Voluntary work week starts in Khan Sheikhoun

Idleb (ST): On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Union launched a voluntary work week in the city of Khan Sheikhoun in the liberated Idleb countryside, in which hundreds of young people from the two branches of the Youth Union in Idleb and Hama participated.

In statements, Ali Abbas, head of the Revolutionary Youth Union, stated that the voluntary week’s program includes rehabilitating the roundabout of the city of Khan Sheikhoun and Al-Bahra roundabout, removing rubble, restoring the edges of the road, planting and trimming trees, rehabilitating the garden, and preparing the Syrian flagpole at the main entrance to the city.

Shams al-As’ad, a member of the leadership of the Youth Union branch in Hama, and Ahmed al-Najjar, a member of the leadership of the youth branch in Idleb, stressed the importance of spreading the culture of voluntary work in society, especially among the youth, and its pioneering contribution to the reconstruction of Syria, noting that holding this voluntary day falls within this framework, especially in the city of Khan Sheikhoun, which shook the dust of terrorism, and today is in need of such comprehensive voluntary service campaigns to restore its usual aesthetic and civilized appearance.
