Unity against Terrorism Needed

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad underscored the dire need for rallying every sincere and genuine efforts as to fight terrorism and stop the proliferation of this dangerous phenomenon against the people of the region as well as of the entire globe.

Receiving the participants in today’s concluded Arab and Islamic Gathering Forum on Supporting Resistance, who  represent 28 Arab and Islamic countries, President Assad pointed out that terrorism is but one targeting every place.

What the West wants is to have our Arab and Islamic Identity lost; which asserts the importance of the role played by popular organizations and forums in increasing awareness and in immunizing Arab street, particularly against propagated for false concepts and terms, underlined President Assad.

” The war being launched against the region is first and foremost by  intellectual means,” H.E. President Assad pointed out.

President Assad’s talks with the participants dealt mainly with conditions at Arab and Islamic arenas, particularly in Syria.

The participants hailed the stances of Syria by Resistance and its confrontations of the Zionist and Western schemes in the region.

The participants, further, underscored that Syria is waging the battle against terrorism and the sinister schemes on behalf of all Arab and Islamic People, voicing their trust in the capability of Syria, People and Army, to win against the terrorist attack to which it has been exposed for more than 5 years.
