Union of Journalists and the “One Heart One Pulse” Foundation honor the families of the media martyrs
Damascus, (ST) – The Union of Journalists, in cooperation with the “One Heart One Pulse” Foundation, honored the families of media martyrs in the political administration and the public and private media institutions in which they worked, at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
The Head of the Federation, Moussa Abdel Nour, said in a speech during the honoring ceremony that the Syrian media workers proved their worth during the years of the terrorist war on Syria. They are still ready to offer their most valuable efforts in order to achieve their ultimate goal, which is to raise the banner of truth in the face of all misinformation and falsification.
Abdel Nour pointed out that the honor coincides with the seventy-sixth anniversary of the Evacuation Day, which was achieved through the struggles and sacrifices of the honorable martyrs of this country. He pointed out that the responsibility of media professionals was doubled during a fierce war initiated by media empires.
Mahmoud Salama, the father of the martyr Mustafa Salama, the correspondent of the Sama satellite TV channel, who was martyred in 2018 in the countryside of Quneitra, said that honoring the families of the martyrs of media institutions is the least possible. It is gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs in defending the homeland, its stability and sovereignty.
