“Two Peoples With One Heart” activity aims to support 45 children with disability and orphans

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, May.26, (ST)- Under the title “Two  Peoples With One Heart”, the Venezuelan Embassy in Damascus, in cooperation with the “Insan” Association for Psychological and Social Support, organized on Thursday a charitable event to support children with disabilities and orphans, in Nawa Restaurant, in Qura Al-Assad area in Damascus countryside.

 
The event, which included 45 children, aims to enhance their interaction with society and the sense of belonging through recreational, sports and social activities.
 
Chargé d’Affairs at the Venezuelan Embassy, Joaquín Gómez, said that the “Two Peoples With One Heart” project is an integrated program that consists of several activities to enhance communication and partnership with beneficiaries of humanitarian work and charitable initiatives, referring to the strong and distinguished relations between the Syrian and Venezuelan peoples.
 
Mohammad Abu Serreyeh from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates indicated that it was agreed on this program, which includes several stages. “ Today’s event is the first of this cooperation and expresses the noble feelings  of others and expresses standing by the Syrian people.”
 
Shawki Aoun, the Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus Countryside, stressed the importance of civil and humanitarian work and charitable initiatives, as they achieve positive results on the ground. 
 
While the Director of “Insan” Association, Nisreen Abbas, said that this event is the first joint work between the association and the Venezuelan embassy with the aim of providing psychological and social support for children, adolescents and adults to develop their skills and sense of community.
