HOMS, Aug.6, (ST)- The Minister of Tourism Muhammad Rami Radwan Martini inaugurated on Saturday the Professional Hotel School in Al-Waer neighborhood in Homs, which comes within the framework of the plan for the reconstruction and development of tourism sector in accordance with quality standards and human resources in all governorates.
Speaking to reporters, the minister clarified that the school was among the tourist projects that were stopped because of the war on the country, indicating that the school will contain 600 students.
“There is a plan to equip the school and other educational facilities with alternative energy systems , which will contribute to the development of their work in various circumstances,” Martini added.
Moreover, the minister inaugurated the “Qamar al-Wadi” resort in Marmarita area in the western countryside of Homs, in the presence of the Director of Tourism, a number of expatriates and the residents of the area.
Ghosoun Kassis, the assistant director of tourism, declared that the resort, which was opened on a trial basis for a period of three months, will be equipped later and it will include a three-star restaurant and swimming pool with the cost of 6 million Syrian pounds.
