Tunisia (ST): The Tunisian judiciary officially charged 33 people with belonging to a terrorist organization, including the head of the Ennahda movement and the speaker of the dissolved parliament, Rashid Ghannouchi.
Tunisia Africa News Agency quoted a member of the defense team in the case of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi Iman Qazzaza, “The first investigating judge in Office 23 of the Judicial Section for Combating Terrorism has charged 17 charges against the 33 defendants, the most prominent of which are charges of belonging to a terrorist organization and money laundering.”
It is noteworthy that last year, 113 leaders in the Tunisian Brotherhood’s Ennahda movement collectively resigned, including members of the suspended Parliament, members of the Constituent Assembly, the Shura Council, councils, and regional and local offices, blaming its president, Rashid Ghannouchi, for the situation in the country.
