The Ramadan Market Festival opened in Damascus with the participation of 250 companies

Damascus (ST): With the participation of 250 national industrial and commercial companies, the activities of the Ramadan Market Festival “Syria brings us together” were launched in the old fair city in Damascus.This event is organized by the Damascus Governorate in cooperation with the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its Countryside and the Chambers of Commerce in Damascus and its Countryside.The festival will continue until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Participants in the festival present a variety of food products, including confectionery, canned goods, sweets, pasta and jams, in addition to detergents of all kinds, women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, leather and household electrical appliances.

 

The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, explained that this and other shopping festivals provide an opportunity for direct sales of the product to the consumer and to break some intermediate loops that result in additional price margins, noting that many companies present offers at various rates lower than the market from 15 to 25 percent, in addition to promotional offers that help in marketing the product during the exhibition.

Minister of Industry Ziyad Sabbagh stressed the importance of the festival, which offers a large variety of goods that satisfy the tastes of consumers, pointing to the cooperation of all participants as a charitable work to ease the burdens on citizens.

In turn, the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, explained that every citizen can obtain the materials he desires, whether on a daily or weekly basis, and therefore there is no need to store materials with a large assortment, pointing out that a pledge was obtained from the participating companies to reduce their prices.

More than 30 wounded people from different governorates participated in the activities of the Festival. The wounded participate with their crafts and their various products, including foodstuffs, cheese, dairy, juices, oriental antiques, wood, leather, clothes, sweets and other handcrafted products within the wounded independent production projects with the best specifications and highest quality.
