The People’s Court of Justice decided to criminalize Zionist entity’s leaders and forces and its supporters
DAMASCUS, NOV.9, (ST)- Yesterday, the People’s Court of Justice, which was organized by the Arab Nation League Foundation at the Cham Hotel in Damascus, with the participation of Syrian and Arab judges and legal experts, decided to criminalize the leaders and forces of the Israeli occupation entity and the countries, organizations and groups that are supporting and financing it and contributing to its crimes with the criminal acts committed and to sentence them to the penalties stipulated in international and national laws. .
The court also decided to oblige states and international organizations to prosecute the leaders and forces of the Israeli occupation entity and impose the most severe penalties against them, as well as oblige the occupying entity to compensate the victims.
These decisions come after the court held a meeting to consider the complaint submitted by the People’s Public Prosecutor in court about the crimes of the occupation, and after listening to all the prosecution’s statements and reviewing the reliable evidence that contains the public confessions of the leaders of the Zionist occupation, and relevant international reports, especially the report of the Special Rapporteur on Palestine, which the court studied and adopted what it was convinced had an unquestionable probative value.
It has been proven through facts that the military leaders of the Zionist occupation entity and their political officials, supported by Western countries and organizations, committed or contributed to the commission of criminal acts. The crimes includes imprisoning, torturing, and killing prisoners, deliberately targeting civilians, humanitarian convoys, relief workers, journalists, hospitals, means of transportation, and health teams, and intentionally completely destroying infrastructure, as well as targeting cultural and educational properties and places of worship, and using internationally prohibited weapons such as cluster bombs, white phosphorus, and depleted uranium in populated and civilian areas.
The criminal acts also included the use of artificial intelligence to target residential areas, the use of a policy of collective punishment, siege, mass detention, forced displacement of the civilian population, torture, holding civilians as hostages, besides the policy of starvation and thirst, burial in mass graves, the systematic rape of women and children, and turning Palestinian lands, specifically in Gaza, to a place unfit for life, with the aim of displacing people and preventing them from returning to their lands.
The entity also committed crimes of terrorism and aggression through treacherous killings that led to the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Hashem Safi al-Din, the heads of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, and the assassination of a number of cadres and resistance leaders in Lebanon.
All these acts constitute international crimes in their various forms stipulated in international law, international humanitarian law, and international human rights law. They are violations of the 1949 Geneva Conventions. They are also war crimes committed within the framework of a broad and systematic general plan and policy by occupying forces, as well as crimes against crimes of genocide committed with the intention of destroying a national, ethnic, or religious group.
These are crimes of genocide, committed with the intention of destroying a national, ethnic, and religious group, all with the aim of achieving a greater crime, which is the crime of abolishing a homeland and a people, which has been continuing since 1948.
