The Palestinian presidency welcomes Armenia’s decision to recognize the state of Palestine

The Palestinian presidency welcomed the announcement of the Republic of Armenia to officially recognize the state of Palestine, noting that this decision is an effective contribution to the consolidation of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination on their land.

“This courageous and wise step shows Armenia’s keenness to support the Palestinian people, their inalienable and legitimate rights to their land and home, and their right to self-determination,” the presidency was quoted by WAFA agency as saying in a statement today.

The Palestinian Presidency urged the countries of the world, especially the European countries that still do not recognize the state of Palestine, to recognize it in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and on the borders of the Fourth of June 1967 and to follow the countries that have chosen the path of supporting the achievement of peace and stability and the consolidation of the rules of international legitimacy and international law.
