The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns the Organized Terrorism of Settler Gangs in the West Bank

The OIC condemned organized terrorism and the daily crimes committed by settler gangs, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, against Palestinians in the West Bank, the latest of which was the attack on the village of Jet east of Qalqilya.

The organization stressed in a statement today quoted by the Palestinian WAFA Agency that the settlers ‘ attack on the village is an extension of the open Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, their land and their sanctity in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, stressing the need to end the occupation and terminate all settlements.

The organization called on the international community to provide urgent international protection to the Palestinian people and to ensure an immediate and comprehensive cessation of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including the city of Jerusalem.

The EU Commissioner for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, condemned the attack by settlers protected by the occupation forces on the village of Jet and said in his account on the X platform: “day after day, with almost complete impunity, settlers are fueling violence in the West Bank with the aim of intimidating Palestinians,” calling on the occupation authorities to stop the continuous attacks on Palestinians.

Borrell confirmed his intention to submit a proposal to impose sanctions by the European Union on settlers who attack Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as ministers in the occupation government.
