The mayor of Nabatieh martyred by the Israeli enemy’s air force raids

Beirut(ST)- Nabatieh Governor , Howayda Turk, announced today the martyrdom of the city’s mayor and a number of municipal employees, as a result of raids launched by the Israeli enemy’s air force on Nabatieh.

AFP quoted Turk as saying in a statement: 11 Israeli raids mainly targeted the city of Nabatieh, she said that the mayor Ahmad Kahil and a number of his team were among the martyrs.

In addition, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center announced in a statement that the Israeli enemy’s raid on the buildings of the Nabatieh Municipality and its Union of Municipalities led, in a preliminary toll, to the martyrdom of five people, while the work of removing the rubble continues in search of others.

The municipality of Nabatieh was also subjected to an Israeli occupation aggression, as the enemy aircraft targeted its eastern entrance with a raid that destroyed most of its eastern offices and its other entrances  causing damage to dozens of cars parked next to it.

This morning, the enemy warplanes carried out a violent air assault on the town of Nabatieh al-Tahta, launching more than 7 raids on the neighborhoods of al-Deir, al-Aqida, and al-Ruwais.
