The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine condemns settlers’ storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine condemned the settlers’ storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that it comes within the context of the Israeli occupation’s attempts to implement its Judaization plans not only in the city of Al-Quds, but also in the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.

WAFA reported  that the committee stressed today in a statement that these storming incidents are an attempt to impose a new reality that violates international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the historical and legal status of the city of Al-Quds.

The committee called on relevant international institutions and all churches of the world to condemn the occupation’s attacks on Al-Aqsa, and work to stop them and provide protection for it and the rest of the Islamic and Christian sanctities, in commitment to their legal, political and moral duties and responsibilities in preserving international peace and security, which will not be achieved except by ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.

Storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque violates the legal and historical status of Al-Quds

Ealier, Al-Quds governorate stressed that the storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli ministers and thousands of settlers is a blatant and scandalous violation of the legal and historical status of the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The governorate said in a statement today that the head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, is dragging the region into war, and that what is happening in Al-Aqsa is a provocation to the feelings of millions of Muslims. The governorate called on the international community to stop the occupation’s crimes in Al-Quds immediately before the occurrence of undesirable consequences, according to Wafa News Agency.

The governorate indicated that while the international community is seeking to reach an agreement to stop the war of extermination in Gaza Strip, Netanyahu is seeking to open a new front in Al-Quds to implement the occupation’s plans to Judaize Al-Quds and its sanctities.
