The Heritage Song at the Historical Scientific Society of Jabla

Within the framework of the activities of the Historical Scientific Society in Jableh, the society held a cultural and artistic heritage lecture entitled (Folk Heritage songs) presented by professor poet Mohammed Youssef Shamma, director of the literary forum in Al-Qadmus, during which he dealt with the history of folk heritage songs.

He provided information and songs for about twenty heritage songs such as Al-Ataba, Al-Mejana, Al-Zulf, Al-Liya and Al-Yadi, reviewing their origins, meanings and conditions of appearance, circulation and handling by the community, stressing the need to preserve them.

It is noteworthy that the member of the board of Directors of the association, Mr. Khalid Arif Haj Osman, opened the activity welcoming the chairman and members of the board of Directors of the association and the attendees, and Mrs. Imtiaz Aziz Ahmed, the member of the association responsible for arts, music and theater, presented the minutes and managed the session and the dialogue that followed the lecture.

In conclusion, the chairman of the association thanked Mr. Ezzal-DinAli, the lecturer, and praised what he had done in the field of heritage songs of all kinds.
