The Rancagua province of Chile has named one of its main squares the “Syrian Arab Republic”.
The charge d’affaires of the Syrian embassy in Chile, Dr. Ghassan Anjrini, explained in a statement to “SANA” that this step came within the framework of friendship and cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Chile and on the initiative of the embassy and Syrian expatriate institutions.
Dr. Anjrini pointed to the distinguished friendly relations between Syria and Chile and the permanent appreciation of the contributions of the members of the authentic Syrian community in Chile and their prominent role in the fields of creativity, development and building bridges of love between Chile and their homeland.
