The beginning of the winter vegetable season  in Sweida with a plan of 2890 dunums

In Sweida, winter vegetable cultivation operations have begun according to a plan that includes areas of 2,890 dunums.

The Assistant Director of Agriculture in Sweida, Engineer Alaa Shahib, stated  that the types of winter vegetables included in the agricultural plan for the current season include beans, peas, cauliflower, onions, cabbage and garlic, all of which are grown irrigated using wells.

Engineer Shahib explained that the cultivation of winter vegetables in Sweida includes various areas where wells are located, especially in the western region of the governorate, and that the cultivation operations will continue in the coming days.

Sweida governorate produced about 4601 tons of winter vegetables last season.
