The Arab Parliamentary Union condemns the aggressive practices of Turkey

The Arab Parliamentary Union has condemned the aggressive practices of the Turkish regime against Syria and its people.

The Union denounced the cutting off of drinking water from the city of Hasaka and its suburbs. In a statement issued by its Chairman of the Federal National Council in the United Arab Emirates Saqr Ghobash said on December 17 that it is following with great concern the Turkish aggressive practices against brotherly Syria and its people by cutting off the drinking water to citizens in the city of Hasaka and its suburbs.

The Arab Parliamentary Union called on the United Nations, the international community and all peace-loving forces to take a clearstance on these unacceptable practices.

The Arab Parliamentary Union called on the Turkish regime to respect the rights of neighbors and immediately stop any interference in the affairs of brotherly Syria.

The Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh sent 37 letters on December 16 on behalf of the People’s Assembly to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the speakers of international parliamentary federations and regional and Arab parliaments, in which he called for condemning the ongoing crime committed by the Turkish regime by cutting off drinking water to more than a million residents of the governorate of Hasaka.
