Tens of thousands of Palestinians perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at Al-Aqsa, despite the occupation measures
Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Eid al-Fitr prayers at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite strict Israeli occupation measures and attempts to restrict their access to the mosque.
Wafa news agency quoted the Endowments Department in the occupied city of Jerusalem as saying: “More than 120,000 worshipers performed Eid prayers in the courtyards and inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the strict occupation measures,” noting that the occupation forces tried to prevent Palestinians from reaching the mosque, and assaulted them. They were beaten near Al-Asbat Gate while they were on their way to perform the prayer.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed a few days ago that the Palestinians’ advance toward the city of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and towards the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron on the Night of Power is conclusive evidence of the failure of the Israeli occupation policy and its Judaization plans, and of the Palestinian people’s adherence to their full rights and sanctities, as 280,000 worshipers flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque from all over the occupied Palestinian territories in the Night of Power, despite the occupation measures and restrictions imposed on the Palestinians to prevent them from reaching it.
