Syrian industrialists: Participation in the parliamentary elections necessary for supporting national industry

Many industrialists believe that the participation in the parliamentary elections, scheduled for July 15th, is a national duty and a necessity, as it provides an example of a democratic process carried out by the Syrian people to bring their representatives at the Pepple’s Assembly, gives a living evidence of the people’s participation in decision-making.

A number of industrialists affirmed that their participation in the elections is important so that they can play active role in supporting national industry and making laws based on the national interests to promote and develop the industry in a way that would reflect positively on the country’s economic situation, and thus on society as a whole.

Head of the Businesswomen’s Committee in the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry Marwa Al-Aitouni called on members of the next People’s Assembly to double their efforts as to improve the industrial situation in the country, identify its problems and find solutions to them by enacting the laws that would boost local industry and improve the quality of industrial products.
