Syrian Embassy in Brazil Participates in Annual Diplomatic Charity Bazaar

Brasilia-(ST)- The Syrian Embassy in Brazil participated in the annual diplomatic charity bazaar organized by a group of wives of heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Brasilia.

The bazaar was held at the Brazilian Arts Museum in the capital, Brasilia, with the participation of more than 40 accredited foreign embassies, and a wide popular presence, with 50 percent of the proceeds from participation being allocated to the benefit of civil and charitable organizations.

The Syrian embassy participated with a variety of traditional heritage products such as mosaics, Aghabani, brassware, and laurel soap, as well as collectibles on which examples of Arabic calligraphy were printed, in addition to famous Syrian cuisine.

Publications were also presented about Syrian antiquities and tourist attractions, translated into Portuguese. Pictures of tourist and archaeological areas that represent Syrian civilization and artifacts were also displayed.

The Charity Bazaar constitutes an important platform for introducing countries, their archeological landmarks and their heritage, as the Syrian Embassy is keen to periodically participate in such activities to highlight  Syria and its rich historical heritage.
