In his speech during the opening of the exhibition, Dr. Idris Mayya, the Syrian ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, drew attention to what the brotherly Omani side provided in order to have the exhibition held.
An artistic painting representing the old city of Damascus was presented as a gift by the Minister of Culture, Lubana Moshaweh, to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman.
Ambassador Mayya noted the importance of the exhibition, which aims to enhance cultural communication and provide a platform for artists to display their work, so as to exchange ideas and experience. The Syrian Ambassador believed that the exhibition encouraged artistic and creative dialogue and he stressed that the paintings reflected the reality of life in Syria, and the keenness of Syrian artists to present a positive and bright image of the country.
