Syria wins gold, silver and bronze medals in several sports at the Arab Games in Algeria

Syria on Wednesday won a gold medal in swimming at the Arab Games in Algeria. The medal went to swimmer Omar Abbas in the men’s 400m freestyle.

Earlier today, the Syrian judo team also won four silver medals and 3 bronze medals. The silver medal were obtained by athlete Adam Tawouk, weighing under 66 kg, while the bronze medals were won by athlete Hassan Bayan in under 73 kg weight, Laila Kanaan in 48 kg weihgt and Dana Khachik in 52 kg weight.

The Syrian team player of special sports Alaa Abdel Salam also won a silver medal in shot put in the sitting position in the F53 category.
