Syrian swimmer Omar Abbas won the silver medal today, in the 200m freestyle in the Thailand International Championships.
Abbas managed to break the Syrian record by 1.51.36, noting that the previous record of 1.51.82. was registered in the name of Abbas himself.
Earlier, Abbas won a silver medal in the 100m freestyle with a time of 51.69 seconds.
