Damascus, (ST) – With the participation of more than 50 local, Arab and foreign companies, the activities of the Syrian International Exhibition for Plastic Industries “Syria Plast 2024” kicked off on Wednesday at at the Damascus Fair Ground. The event is organized by the Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry.
The 4-day exhibition includes everything related to the plastic industry from machines, chemicals, raw materials, auxiliary industrial machines, production lines to all innovations in the field of technology, plastic, rubber and nylon industries
The exhibition also includes a display of the production process starting from the raw material to the final product, in addition to a wide range of plastic products.
In a statement to reporters, Minister of Industry Abdul Qadir Joukhadar noted the diversity of the participations and the products in the exhibition and the explanation of all stages of production, starting from the raw material all the way to the final product. He referred to the role the exhibitions play in highlighting the ability of the Syrian industrialist to work, produce and compete despite all the difficult circumstances that Syria went through.
For his part, Chairman of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Industry Muhammad Ghazwan Al-Masry noted the importance of the participation of brotherly and friendly countries in supporting national industries, as local companies can see the products of the participating companies from other countries and benefit from their expertise and can establish cooperation that contributes to the development of the national industry and achieving economic recovery.
In an earlier statement, Director General of the exhibition’s organizing group Khalaf Mashhadani explained that this year’s session is witnessing the participation of Jordan, Oman and Iran in addition to local companies, which provides a great opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest innovations and advanced technical solutions in the plastic industries sector.
Mashhadani pointed out that business delegation from several Arab and foreign countries from Jordan, Lebanon, the Emirates and China, in addition to a delegation representing the Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of Industries in Iraq, responded to the invitation of the organizing group.
He added that the exhibition program includes of scientific lectures and organizing business meetings “B2B”, which constitutes a wide space for concluding trade and investment deals and building professional and commercial communication networks, and learning about market trends and new opportunities, which is reflected in the development of the plastics industries sector and other activities and industries related to it.
