Syria, Indonesia hold talks on parliamentary cooperation

Jakarta (ST): The Syrian Ambassador in Jakarta Abdel Moneim Annan discussed with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Indonesian Parliament Fadli Zun prospects of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and a number of issues of common interest.

Ambassador Annan referred to the historical relations between the two countries and the existence of great opportunities to expand and increase the volume of trade exchange and economic cooperation between the two countries.

In his turn, Zoun made it clear that he will visit Syria next month at the head of a large parliamentary delegation, after which a package of recommendations will be presented to the Indonesian government regarding the areas that must be focused on, in order to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
