Syria has an amazing history, says Czech traveler

Prague, (ST) – Czech traveler Ondrzej Havelka affirmed that Syria has an amazing history the roots of which extend to the beginnings of the cultural history of humanity itself. He pointed out that it is full of unique archaeological monuments and exceptional cultural and religious richness.

In a photographic reportage published by the traveler on the Seznam website, which is the most widespread in Czechia, and which included 20 color photos that he took of various archaeological, religious and cultural monuments in Damascus, Maaloula, Qalaat al-Hosn, Palmyra and Hama, Havelka said: Syria is his favorite country now among all the countries of the Middle East. He added that the Syrians are characterized by their warm hospitality and friendly welcome to visitors.

The Czech traveler spoke in detail about the history and importance of the Umayyad Mosque, the Euphrates region, the city of Maaloula, the beauty of the old neighborhoods and streets in the city of Damascus, and the archaeological monuments in Palmyra, Hama, Qalaat al-Hosn, and Aleppo. He described Aleppo as one of the oldest and most culturally rich cities in the world.
