On the last day of the Arab Cup Powerlifting Championships in Beirut, the Syrian team won 28 medals, including 5 golds, 10 silvers and 13 bronzes.
The new score raised the total number of medals gained by the Syrian team to 156.
In the 120 kg (Master I) category, the athlete Amer Khourshid won a gold medal, a silver medal and two bronze ones, while Ayman Tahhan obtrained a silver medal and three bronzes in the (Master II) category. The players Mohammad Wafa Zeitouni won four bronzes in the youth category and Nouh M’arrawi won 4 silvers in the above 120 kg category.
In women competitions, Hanaa Sujaa won 4 bronzes and Shouq Alloush won 3 golds and a silver medal in the above 84 kg weight (Master I) category. Athlete Amal Haddad also won a gold medal and three silvers.
It is to be noted that the Syrian team obtained 59 medals on the first day of the championship, 44 medals on the second day and 25 medals on the third day.
