Spain Prevents the Docking of Two Weapon Ships Bound for the Israeli Occupation Entity

The Spanish Government has prevented two United States vessels carrying weapons and military supplies to the Israeli occupation entity from docking in its ports.

A spokesman for the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the Spanish newspaper “El Pais” that the “Maersk Denev” ship, which left New York on October 31 last and “Maersk Seletar”, which left New York on November 4, asked to dock at the port of Algeciras in the south of the country,” stressing that they will not stop in Spain.

For his part, the leader of the United Left party, Enrique Santiago, said: “at least 1,185 ships that left the United States loaded with weapons and military equipment to Israel passed through Spanish waters in a year,” stressing that “sending weapons and military equipment to Israel and allowing their passage constitutes complicity in genocide and violates agreements prohibiting any cooperation in arms shipments to Israel.

The United States and several European countries continue to supply weapons to the Israeli occupation entity, flouting all international and humanitarian laws.
