ANKARA,(ST)_ At least 13 people including three Turks were killed in a blast on Monday at the Turkish Cilvegozu Checkpoint on the Turkish-Syrian borders to the north of Turkey.
The explosion resulted in wounding 28 people, 13 of them are in critical health condition.
Anatolia News Agency reported that total number of the killed included the hospitalized and number of injured in the blast reached 28, 9 Turks and 19 Syrians and 13 of the total number of the injured are in grave health conditions, 5 Turks and 8 Syrians.
The injured persons are receiving medical treatment in Reyhanli and Antioch hospitals and other hospitals for treating displaced Syrians.
Earlier, customs area director Adnan Korqmaz said the explosion caused fire in cars parked nearby and conduit to the killing of 8 people, five of them were killed immediately at the scene and a large number were injured, three of them from the Turkish customs guards.
