Shukri discusses with Pedersen efforts to solve the crisis in Syria

On August 20th, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry affirmed the keenness of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria to complete its mission in order to reach a solution to the crisis in Syria, in a way that guarantees the preservation of its unity and stability. 

Shoukry received a phone call from Geir Pedersen, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria. 

According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call dealt with the latest developments regarding the situation in Syria at various levels and the efforts being made regarding all aspects of the crisis. 

According to Abu Zeid, Pedersen praised the outputs of the meeting of the Arab Liaison Committee.
