Shtayyeh: The silence of the international community encouraged the Israeli occupation to persist in its crimes against the Palestinians

On June 1st, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh reiterated that the international community’s silence towards the continuing crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and its sanctities encourages it to persist in its perpetration.

Shtayyeh said that the cold-blooded assassination of the 31-year-old Palestinian woman, GhufranWarasna, at the entrance of Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron in the West Bank, comes as a dedication to double international standards towards the systematic crimes of the Israeli occupation.

Shtayyeh stressed the need for the international community to move from statements of condemnation and denunciation to taking serious measures against the Israeli occupation.

Shtayyeh pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities’ confiscation of Palestinian lands in the town of MasaferYatta and their forced displacement aims to empty the town of its residents, replace them with settlers within the occupation’s Judaization schemes, and eliminate any chance of establishing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
