Several Palestinian farmers injured in new Israeli attack on their lands south of Gaza

A number of Palestinians were injured in a new attack by the Israeli occupation forces on agricultural lands south of the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to WAFA News Agency, the occupation forces opened live fire and shot tear gas canisters at farmers while working in their lands east of Khan Younis city in the south of Gaza.

The farmers were suffocated from the tear gas and were forced to stop working and leave their lands, the agency said on Saturday.

The Israeli forces intentionally target the Palestinian farmers in the north and east of Gaza Strip on a daily basis in order to prevent the farmers from cultivating their lands and to impede development in the strip.

Meanwhile in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces assaulted Palestinian olive harvesters near the city of Al-Khalil.

The occupation forces stormed into the agricultural lands in the village of Al-Tawana, south of Al-Khalil, and attacked Palestinian olive harvesters by firing tear gas canisters against them, causing suffocation to some of them.
