Several martyrs’ families honored marking 49th Anniversary of October War of Liberation

The Syrian Association for Social Development and Al-Yamama Charity Association on Wednesday honored a number of martyrs’ families in Hasakah province marking the 49th anniversary of the October War of Liberation.

During the honoring ceremony, which was held at Hasakah Governorate building, Hasakah Governor Louy Sabbouh said “by coming to this ceremony, the families of the martyrs are the ones who honor us. We will never forget our martyrs who will continue to be a beacon to the coming generations and an example to follow in sacrifices.”

Abdul Baset Za’al Al-Damen, the brother of martyr Ahmad Al-Damen, expressed his pride in the heroism of his martyred brother who offered sacrifices in defense of the homeland, hailing the great care accorded by the state to the families of the martyrs.

Jamil Nofal, brother of martyr Waleed Nofal, said “my brother was martyred on the second day of October War of Liberation. We, as a family, are very proud of his martyrdom.”
