Israeli settlers on Saturday chopped down dozens of olive trees from Palestinians lands near the village of Amateen to the east of Qalqilia in the West Bank.
Local sources informed WAFA News Agency that a number of settlers stormed into Amateen village and cut down around 40 olive trees in land located to the south of the village.
On Thursday, a number of settlers attacked the Palestinian farmers in the town of Al-Kheder, south of Bethlehem and prevented them from reaching their lands.
Settler violence against the Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation authorities.
Israeli navy opens fire at Gaza fishermen
Meantime, the Israeli naval forces resumed their almost daily attacks against Palestinian fishermen sailing offshore al-Sudaniya area, northwest of Gaza City.
Local sources said that the Israeli naval boats opened gunfire and water hoses toward fishing boats. No injuries were reported among the fishermen who left the sea for fear of being detained, injured or killed.
