Farid Al-Amarin, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party Division, was martyred in the city of Nawa, in the western countryside of Daraa, as he was shot by unidentified gunmen.
Sources stated that “two gunmen on a motorcycle intercepted the car of the division’s secretary, Farid Muhammad Al-Amarin, in front of the division’s headquarters in Nawa, and after the car stopped, they pulled him out and shot him directly, which led to his death. The gunmen then fled the crime scene using his car.”
Daraa Health Director, Dr. Ashraf Barmo stated that Nawa National Hospital received the body of Al-Amarin who had already died as a result of several gunshot wounds to the heart, chest and legs.
