Russian parliamentarian: Syria has Successfully Overcome the Crisis of International Terrorism

Chairman of the Commission of Information policy at Council of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Pushkov stated that Syria has succeeded in thwarting the conspiracy of the United States and its allies against it, and has overcome the crisis of international terrorism with great success.

“A great victory was achieved as Syria remained strong and steadfast, defeating terrorist and extremist groups and preventing them from controlling it especially since the Western alliance had planned this for Syria,”Pushkov said in an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow yesterday.

“The remaining effects of the crisis in Syria are relate to the continuation of foreign support for terrorist groups and the continued occupation of some Syrian territories by US forces,” Pushkov said, stressing that “it is imperative to put an end to the illegal US military presence on Syrian territory”.

Pushkov stressed that ” the Russian leadership will continue its political, military and diplomatic support to the legitimate Syrian government,” stressing that “neither the forces of international terrorism nor the United States are able to repeat the events in Syria, and the day is not far off when the file of the crisis in Syria will be fully folded and Syria will return to what it was and better.”
