Russian expert: US hegemony encourages Israeli crimes in the Middle East

Moscow (ST) – The Dean of the Faculty of Management and Political Science at Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO), Russian Professor Henri Sardarian, affirmed that the continued dominance of one pole over the entire world encourages the Zionist entity to continue its crimes against humanity and violations of international law against the Palestinian and the Lebanese peoples.

Sardarian stated that: “This unipolarity allows the dominant countries to use international law and other international organizations as they please, as the US is constantly working to acquit the parties in its orbit of all crimes against humanity, supports, and backs them to increase their crimes, as is happening with the Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories and Lebanon.”

The Russian expert indicated that if any country did what Israel is doing, it would be considered an aggressor that opposes international legitimacy decisions and violates the sanctity of international law, international humanitarian law and international will, in addition to sanctions, restrictions and international isolation from international bodies and organizations would be imposed on it.

He expressed his regret that American hegemony is today considered higher than any international law or legislation.

Sardarian stressed that the restrictions and punitive measures taken by the West, led by the United States, against Syria constitute a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, noting that the concepts and terms used in the allegations against Syria have exceeded the linguistic capabilities in the history of world literature.

In this regard, he referred to the term armed opposition, which is no different in reality from calling a thief an armed client, considering that Syria, through its steadfastness and with the support of Russia, was able to confront the mechanism of imperialist Zionist aggression against it.
