Russian Coordination Center provides medical and food aid to Al-Nahda Al-Arabia Association Hospital in Homs

Homs, (ST)- The Russian Coordination Center in Syria on Wednesday provided humanitarian aid to the Al-Nahda Al-Arabia Association Hospital in the city of Homs that included medical materials and equipment, food supplies and an electricity generator.

The head of the Russian Coordination Center in Damascus, General Yuri Babov said in a press statement that this aid comes within the framework of the center’s endeavor to enhance the capabilities of the Al-Nahda Al-Arabia Association Hospital in Homs to provide medical and humanitarian services to those in need. He pointed  out that the Russian Center will continue to provide batches of this aid in the future.

The Chairman of the association Board of Directors, Muhammad Khaddour, praised the aid and support provided by Russian friends and the Russian leadership to the Syrian people, especially during the terrorist war on Syria. He indicated the importance of providing the hospital with medical and pharmaceutical equipment in the light of the unjust Western siege imposed on Syria.

Dr. Ghiyath Khalil, the head of the medical office at the Al-Nahda Al-Arabia Association Hospital , also referred to the large amount of medical and health services it provides, whether in outpatient clinics or the hospital, which includes forty beds, and employs about 150 medical, nursing, and health personnel.

The ambulance department receives about 150 patients and more than 40 cases in the radiology department, in addition to performing dozens of surgical operations daily.
