Russia is preparing a resolution in the United Nations General Assembly on combating neocolonialism

Moscow,(ST)- A source in the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that Moscow, in cooperation with its partners in the United Nations General Assembly, is preparing a resolution on combating neocolonialism.

The Russian TASS News Agency said: Today we are working with like-minded people on a draft resolution in the United Nations General Assembly on the topic of combating neocolonialism, which is one of the main topics to which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches great importance.”

The source added: The issue of combating neocolonialism has received understanding and interest from the countries of the global majority in light of the reality of the modern world. The source pointed out that the participation of more than 30 countries in the International Forum of Parties in the format of the BRICS group and its partner countries in the Russian city of Vladivostok is evidence of the realization that “This issue should be resolved through joint efforts.

During his participation in the Vladivostok Forum, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who also heads the United Russia party, called for the creation of a register of losses resulting from crimes of the colonial era, as well as neo-colonialism, to demand the payment of compensation.
