Rabi’ Baloul: A wounded soldier challenges his injury and establishes a woodwork project

With his determination to work, the wounded Syria army soldier Rabi’ Munir Baloul, from the village of Al-Jarwiya in the countryside of Tartous, defied his injury by establishing a project to manufacture woodworks, within his own workshop that he opened in his village a year ago. The projevt helped him achieve financial income that would help him face the burdens of life.
The injury that Baloul suffered in 2013 as a result of a car bomb detonation while he was performing his national duty in the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army led to the loss of his right eye, and limited movement of his left hand, in addition to multiple shrapnels scattered throughout his body.
Baloul was discharged from service with a disability rate of 76.6 percent.
Baloul feels proud of himself and sends a message to his wounded comrades stating the need to face the injury with patience and strong will to prove that they are capable people. He believes that “Every project begins with an idea that needs support and faith in it until success is achieved.”
