Protocol of Cooperation between Syria and the Czech Republic in the Implementation of Drinking Water Purification Plants Signed

The Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with the delegation of the embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus the existing technical cooperation between the two sides, especially in the field of water purification plants and the positive impact of previously implemented plans in the field of providing drinking water to citizens as the Aqraba plant.

The ministry said on its Facebook page that during the meeting that took place  last night that a protocol of cooperation was signed between the State Drinking Water and Sanitation Corporation in Damascus and the Czech side to implement two drinking water purification stations in the town of Shab’a and the city of Duma in the countryside of Damascus, with the implementation of a solar energy system for the Shab’a station and connecting the Duma station with a non-rationing power line, in addition to the implementation of water sources in both stations.
