Prisoners Affairs calls on the international community to pressure the occupation to release Ahmed Manasra
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to release Ahmed Manasra, who has been held in solitary confinement in the Eshel prison for a whole year.
The spokesman for the commission, Hassan Abd Rabbo, told Wafa News Agency that the 20-year-old prisoner, Manasra, who was detained since he was 13, suffers from schizophrenia as a result of the torture he was subjected to in the occupation prisons. He indicated that his condition requires that he be among the prisoners, and not isolated from the whole world.
The Prisoner Club confirmed that Manasra is part of a group of prisoners, who suffer from difficult psychological conditions, and the occupation authorities continue to detain them in solitary confinement in harsh conditions, the matter that led to the aggravation of their conditions.
The club pointed out that cases suffering from diseases and psychological problems are on the rise inside the occupation prisons, as a result of the abusive and repressive policies that the prisoners are exposed to, including the policy of isolation, which constitutes the most prominent and most dangerous of these policies.
