On July 2nd, President Bashar Al-Assad received a delegation of heads of Christian churches in Australia, which included the bishops of the Armenian Catholic, Armenian Orthodox, and Coptic Orthodox churches.
President Al-Assad discussed with the members of the delegation the role played by the eastern churches on the moral and ethical level in Australia and other countries of the world towards the Syrian issue and the political and economic war it is facing.
President Al-Assad also discussed the role of the heads of churches towards the Syrian community and the rest of the Arab communities residing in Australia at the level of strengthening family values and identity and belonging to the homeland, and working for it in the countries of expatriation.
For their part, the bishops affirmed their continuity of work in order to break the sanctions imposed on the Syrians and mitigate the effects of the war and its repercussions on the material and social structures in Syria.
