President Al-Assad adressing the armed forces on Army Day: Sy-ria regains its health and brilliance thanks to army personnel and all loyalists
President Bashar Al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, addressed the armed forces on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Syrian Arab Army, greeting them on their day.
The following is the full text of the speech:
Heroes of our valiant army!
I greet you with all love, pride and honor on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of our Syrian Arab Army, the owner of glories, heroism and honorable positions that will remain before our eyes, rooted in our consciences, a beacon and a supreme value for all successive generations.
I salute you as you continue your effort, staying up late and working tirelessly in the training fields and battlefronts, on the benches of science and knowledge acquisition and in the production sectors and all the different aspects of your work that all aim at fortifying the homeland and restore the cycle of life.
Our brave men!
Our beloved homeland is witnessing a new phase, whose title is construction and giving, and is confidently moving on the path of victory and liberation. So, let us work together with all our strength and determination to consolidate the elements of our victory and consolidate the pillars of our stability and restore security to every inch of Syria. Let us contribute to advancing the wheel of development, progress and construction in the service of the homeland.
Our sons and brothers!
Syria is present with strength and steadfastness in all fields with its pivotal role and prestigious position, with its human civilization and ancient history and with its Arabism and love that extends to all its loyal brothers and friends.
Today, Syria is regaining its health and brilliance, thanks to all the loyal and faithful, thanks to the sons of our steadfast and proud people who have not been humiliated for a moment despite the challenges and pressures and thanks to the brave men of our army, protectors of the land and honor.
Let the love of our homeland be the guide to our work and the strongest motivation for success and advancement, and let us raise our homeland’s flag high in the forums of pride and dignity.
A salute of reverence and respect to the souls of our righteous martyrs, and healing to our heroic wounded, and love and appreciation to all their honorable families, those who provide lessons in patience in adversity, and consolidate the reality of belonging to homelands.
