Premier Arnous discusses with an Abkhaz delegation the strengthening of bilateral relations

Prime Minister Eng. Hussein Arnous has discussed today with the Assistant Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Ileg Bartsys and the delegation accompanying him ways to strengthen bilateral relations and push them forward in the various economic, commercial, cultural, investment and scientific fields, especially student exchange.

Premier Arnous stressed the importance of increasing cooperation to confront the pressures, break the siege imposed on the two countries, and enhance the work of the joint committee to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

 

The Prime Minister clarified the need to encourage economic activities to establish joint investment projects, increase the volume of commercial exchanges, and secure the two markets’ needs of various necessary materials and commodities, referring to the new investment law in Syria, which provides an appropriate environment for investment in various fields and sectors and grants several advantages and facilities to investors. Premier Arnous stressed at the same time the readiness of the Syrian government to provide all support for Abkhaz investments in Syria in order to push the relations between the two countries to include all fields.

For his part, the Assistant Prime Minister of Abkhazia expressed his country’s desire to expand horizons of cooperation with Syria and to work to increase trade exchange and activate joint economic activities, pointing to the desire of many investors in Abkhazia to invest in Syria and establish commercial companies with the private sector in order to carry out various commercial activities, especially in light of the new investment law in Syria, which provides all incentives and facilities for investors.
